Rules

Welcome to the Red Earth Brewers Barrel Project competition site! This competition is open to club members only and will determine the Imeperial Stout recipe we use to brew and fill our 2024 Barrel. The winner of this competition will provide their recipe to the club and that recipe will be brewed by any club members who are contributing beer to the barrel project.

This competition is open to BJCP 2021 Category 20C Imperial Stouts only. No adjuncts, flavors, or other aging products. The winner of this competition will be going into a barrel for most of 2024 and be used as a signature REB beer for the Christmas party, Zoo Brew, and possibly other pouring events, so bring your A game!

Judging will be performed by the REB judge training class and other volunteers and will be judged using standard BJCP methods including Best of Show

The Best of Show judging will be determined by a Best of Show panel based on a second judging of the top winners. If you win Best of Show your will have to provide your recipe as it will be brewed by all who wish to contribute to the project.

Bottles will not be returned to entrants.
